A significant meeting of journalists was held at Jain Dharmshala under the chairmanship of senior journalist Gopal Singhal, where the organization named "Journalist Union of Communication" was formed. It was unanimously decided in the meeting that this new organization would be established to protect the interests of journalists and elevate the standard of journalism.

Gopal Singhal was elected as the State President of the organization. Additionally, Rajnesh Dhyani and Rakesh Bhati were selected as State Vice Presidents, Akhilesh Vyas as State General Secretary, Radhakrishna Gairola as State Secretary, Narayan Datt Bhatt as State Treasurer, and Jaspal Gusain as State Spokesperson. Other office-bearers of the organization include Balesh Gupta (Organization Secretary), Anusuya Prasad (Assistant Secretary), Ajay Tiwari (Cultural Secretary), and Jagmohan Singh Maurya (Publicity Secretary).

Journalists termed this as a historic step for the world of journalism, stating that this initiative will provide them with a strong platform and address the challenges faced in their work. The meeting was attended by Gopal Singhal, Narayan Datt Bhatt, Rajnesh Dhyani, Balesh Gupta, Jaspal Gusain, Santosh Anand, Piyush Khankariyal, Shambhu Prasad, Mahesh Khankariyal, Rakesh Bhati, Monica Singh, and other prominent journalists.
