Swasthya Chintan Shivir, a two-day conclave to brainstorm on healthcare services roadmap for the country, ended with a resolve to finalise a 25 year vision for robust and affordable healthcare infrastructure in the country.

Briefing the media, on the concluding day of the conclave, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya informed that the discussion during the shivir were constructive and outcomes meaningful in order to create a future healthcare roadmap for the country.

“The centre and states have agreed to stay focussed on seven topics including improvement in the implementation of Ayushman Bharat Yojna, TB Free India and stepping up organ donation drive,” the minister added briefing mediapersons.

The minister said that five crore people in the country have enrolled under Ayushman Yojna for cashless card. He further informed that to avoid instances of overcharging by the private hospitals, the medical bill for the treatment would be mandatorily countersigned by the beneficiary before discharge from the health facility.
