Uttarakhand Launches 90-Day Hackathon to Find Tech Solutions for State Challenges
Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Innovation and Solutions Hackathon 2026 was launched at Graphic Era University to develop technology-based solutions for the state’s key challenges.
Information Technology, Science & Technology and Biotechnology Minister Pradeep Batra inaugurated the 90-day initiative in the presence of around 500 students, academicians, technology experts and young innovators.
The hackathon will focus on disaster management, traffic and crowd management, healthcare, environment, wildlife conservation, tourism and governance. Participants will explore solutions using AI, data analytics, GIS and drone technology.
The programme will include ideation, prototype development, mentoring and evaluation. Selected innovations may receive opportunities for pilot projects, incubation and industry collaboration.
The initiative is being organized by ITDA in collaboration with Axolotl Emprise LLP and other institutional and ecosystem partners, with the aim of turning Uttarakhand’s local challenges into practical, technology-driven solutions.
