Uttarakhand Youths Win Silver Medals at WorldSkills 2026 in Shanghai
Dehradun: Two youths from Uttarakhand have won silver medals for India at the WorldSkills Competition 2026 in Shanghai, China.
Sania Joshi of Uttarkashi secured silver in Retail Sales, while Parth Vohra of Dehradun won silver in Industrial Design Technology.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Skills Development Minister Saurabh Bahuguna congratulated both achievers, calling their success a proud moment for Uttarakhand.
The global competition featured around 1,400 participants across 64 skills. India won eight silver medals and 20 Medallions for Excellence, securing 10th place globally.
Both participants qualified through the IndiaSkills state, regional and national competitions and received training and support from the Uttarakhand Skill Development Department and NSDC.
