Uttarakhand Gears Up for Clean Air with Key Initiatives under NCAP

The fourth State Level Steering Committee meeting of the National Clean Air Program (NCAP) was chaired by Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi at the Secretariat. Key measures to curb pollution and promote sustainable development were discussed.

Key decisions include installing EV charging stations in malls, enforcing the vehicle scrappage policy, planting bamboo along roads, ensuring 100% garbage collection, curbing littering with Mahila Mangal Dals, and improving roads with integrated traffic management.

Smt. Raturi emphasized the goal of reducing pollution by 40% by 2025-26 and directed action plans for Dehradun, Rishikesh, and Kashipur. Officials from various departments attended the meeting, marking a significant step toward a cleaner and greener Uttarakhand.
