Dehradun: District Magistrate Savin Bansal expressed strong displeasure over the slow pace of construction of the Green Building under the Smart City project. During a review meeting, he directed officials to ensure that the project is completed by June 2026 under all circumstances.

The DM instructed Smart City Limited officials to immediately submit a revised PERT chart, material plan, and labour plan, and to speed up work by deploying additional workers and operating in double shifts.

It was informed in the meeting that only 125 workers are currently deployed against the required 175, and about 36% of the work has been completed so far. Terming the progress unsatisfactory, the DM ordered an immediate increase in manpower.

He also emphasized strict adherence to quality standards, eco-friendly construction practices, and worker safety norms. Weekly progress reports have been made mandatory, warning that failure to meet the deadline will invite strict action against responsible officials.
