Dehradun Police has filed a case against the operator of a consultancy firm accused of cheating young people by promising overseas jobs. The action was prompted by a viral video showing two youths stranded in Armenia, appealing to the Uttarakhand government for assistance.

The viral video featured Surjeet Singh Negi and Chaman Singh Rana, residents of Tehri, who claimed that Ankul Saini, the owner of “Work Abroad Consultancy,” had taken money from them under the pretext of securing jobs abroad. He first sent them to Azerbaijan and then to Armenia, but no jobs were provided. The two youths appealed to the Uttarakhand government for help, leading the police to take swift action.

Acting on the viral video, SSP Dehradun instructed the SOG to investigate the matter. The investigation revealed that the consultancy firm’s office was located in Upvan Enclave, near Chandrabani, Shriram Chowk.

On Friday, police raided the office and recovered job offer letters, passports, contract agreements, laptops, and other documents.

During the police interrogation, the firm’s HR, Shreya, revealed that Ankul Saini and his wife, Tarana Saini, ran an Instagram account called ‘Work_Abroad_Consultancy’ to lure job seekers. They would send fake offer letters to clients and collect money. The police have registered a case of fraud against Ankul Saini, his wife Tarana, and their associates at Patel Nagar police station.
