Promoting Voter Awareness: 10 km Run to Be Held on National Youth Day

On National Youth Day, the Chief Electoral Officer’s Office is organizing a 10 km run in Dehradun on January 12. With the theme ‘Healthy Voter, Healthy Democracy,’ the event aims to encourage citizens to exercise their voting rights.

The run will commence from the Survey of India Stadium, covering New Cantt Road, Raj Bhavan, and Mahindra Ground before returning to the stadium. Participants include members of the Indian Army, ITBP, Uttarakhand Police, and local citizens. Prizes will be awarded to winners in five categories, with a total of 15 participants being honored.

Dr. Vijay Kumar Jogdand, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, shared that over 600 registrations have already been received. Youth aged 18 and above can register until January 8. The event seeks to foster voter awareness and promote a healthy lifestyle.
