Dehradun: The Uttarjan Today Centurion Club Awards 2025 brought together policymakers, defense veterans, civic leaders, and social contributors to discuss the pressing issue of hill migration under the theme “How to Reinvigorate the Hills?” The event also honored achievers from diverse fields.

Chief Guest Banshidhar Tiwari, Director General of Information and Public Relations, urged citizens to stay connected to their roots and support the development of their native villages. He highlighted government efforts focused on employment generation, women empowerment, and repopulating border villages.

Tajbar Singh Jaggi, Drug Controller, emphasized strict action against food adulteration, especially during the Char Dham Yatra.

Shailendra Singh Negi, Rishikesh Municipal Commissioner, called for collective efforts to curb migration and suggested adopting successful sanitation models.

Former Lt. Gen. Gambhir Singh Negi stressed India’s growing defense self-reliance and advocated better water resource management.

Information Commissioner Yogesh Bhatt underscored the need for representative publications and effective RTI use. Editor P.C. Thapliyal shared Uttarjan Today’s commitment to rural issues, while Dr. Sudha Rani praised the magazine’s role as a bridge between people and policymakers.

Awardees included veterans, educators, doctors, athletes, journalists, entrepreneurs, and digital innovators. The event was hosted by journalist Varsha Singh and attended by several dignitaries from across sectors.
