Dehradun: Uttarakhand will soon introduce virtual registration for land purchase and sale to boost transparency, save time and reduce disputes. Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan reviewed progress on the project and directed officials to ensure timely implementation with effective coordination among stakeholders.

He instructed that the portal must enable automatic, paperless sharing of land-related documents across departments and agencies.

Officials informed that the application is ready and will be modified as per new directions, followed by the tendering process.

The portal will offer three registration options: physical registration with documents, paperless registration by visiting the office, and fully online registration without any mediator.

The system will help maintain unified land records and reduce disputes. The project is planned to be implemented statewide from April 1, 2026.
