Dehradun: A high-level meeting of Dehradun Smart City Limited was held at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan. Key Smart City projects were reviewed during the session.

The Chief Secretary expressed displeasure over delays in the Green Building project and directed that it be completed within six months. Calling it the flagship project of Smart City, he stressed timely execution.

He instructed the District Magistrate/CEO Smart City to ensure regular monitoring, while directing CPWD to work in three shifts to speed up construction. A six-month timeline with strict stage-wise monitoring was also mandated.

It was decided that the Transport Corporation will now operate the 30 electric buses under Smart City. VMDs (LED screens) and environmental sensors will be handed over to the Municipal Corporation, and the ICCC will continue to operate under ITDA.
