Dehradun: According to the Economic Survey, Uttarakhand’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) for 2024–25 has reached ₹3,81,889 crore, up from ₹2.54 lakh crore in 2021–22, marking more than a 1.5-fold increase in three years.

Principal Secretary R. Meenakshi Sundaram said the state recorded a growth rate of 7.23 percent in 2024–25, while the GSDP growth for 2026–27 is estimated at 8.2 percent. Per capita income has also increased from ₹1,94,670 to ₹2,73,921.

In the industrial sector, the number of MSMEs has grown from 59,798 to 79,394, with employment rising from 3.43 lakh to 4.56 lakh. Startups in the state have increased from zero in 2017 to 1,750 in 2024–25.

Infrastructure has also improved, with road length increasing from 50,393 km to 51,278 km. The number of heliports has risen from 2 to 7, while helipads have increased from 60 to 118.

Power generation has expanded significantly, from 5,157 million units in 2021–22 to 16,500 million units in 2024–25, while solar power capacity has grown from 439 MW to 1,027 MW. Tourism has also expanded, with hotels increasing to 10,509 and homestays to 6,161 across the state.
