Migration Prone 307 Hill Villages Brought Under MPC Recommended Cluster Scheme

On the recommendations of Rural Development & Migration Prevention Commission several clusters have been identified to arrest the steady migration from hills in Uttarakhand.

Migration Prevention Commission has recommended to create at least 12 clusters including livelihood development, farming-horticulture, livestock, self-employment and development of basic infrastructure to stop migration from hilly areas.

Around 175 villages have been put under these clusters while 132 villages have been kept under Chief Minister Border Village Development Scheme to create opportunities to stay back villages.

The state rural development department issued a detailed advisory to district administration to initiate and supervise progress under these clusters.
