The Doon School Wins 11th SelaQui All India Inter-School Football Tournament

Dehradun: The Doon School emerged victorious in the 11th SelaQui All India Inter-School Football Tournament (Under-19 Boys), defeating host SelaQui International School 3-0 in the final to lift the championship trophy.

The Doon School dominated the title clash, with Jai Rana, Sushil and Uday Rana scoring one goal each. The six-day tournament, which began on August 6, featured around 180 players from 10 prominent schools. Despite continuous rainfall, the teams displayed strong determination and competitive football throughout the event.

SelaQui International School finished as runners-up after a strong campaign on home ground. In the individual awards, Kasiga School’s Anirudh won the Golden Boot after scoring eight goals, while The Doon School’s Jigmet Urgyan was named Player of the Tournament.

SelaQui’s Viraj Bhardwaj received the Golden Glove Award, while Tayar Doni was named Emerging Player of the Tournament. The Fair Play Award went to Indian Public School for its sportsmanship and discipline.

The tournament concluded with The Doon School lifting the trophy in a memorable finale to the six-day school football competition.
