Uttarakhand Media Delegation Visits ESIC Sanath Nagar in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 15-member media delegation from Uttarakhand visited the ESIC Medical College, Hospital and Super Speciality Hospital, Sanath Nagar, to learn about its healthcare, medical education and digital health initiatives.

The campus has a 1,044-bed integrated healthcare facility, including an 800-bed medical college hospital and a 244-bed super speciality hospital. It offers advanced services in cardiology, nephrology, urology, neurology, oncology and other specialities.

The hospital has been recognised as the Best Performing ESIC Hospital in the More than 500 Beds category since 2019. Its annual OPD attendance increased from 6.93 lakh in 2022 to 9.8 lakh in 2025.

ESIC Sanath Nagar has also emerged as a major centre for kidney transplantation, with 30 transplants performed so far. Digital initiatives such as e-ICU, PACS, app-based OPD, home drug delivery and home sample collection have strengthened patient services.

The delegation also visited the hospital’s advanced laboratory facilities and was briefed on its medical education and specialised healthcare infrastructure.
