Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has ordered a performance audit of all women empowerment schemes in Uttarakhand to assess their impact and ensure accurate beneficiary data. She directed officials to improve and remodulate schemes based on their effectiveness.

Presiding over the Uttarakhand Women and Child Development Committee meeting, she emphasized the need for an action plan to distribute sanitary napkins through Anganwadis to promote menstrual hygiene in remote areas. She also called for making the anemia eradication campaign a mass movement.

To boost women’s livelihoods, CS Raturi instructed the integration of all related schemes with the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Satat Ajivika Yojana and proposed nationwide educational tours for meritorious girl students.

Officials presented progress reports on key schemes, including the Child Welfare Fund, Sanitary Napkin Scheme, and Uttarakhand Woman Integrated Development Scheme (2019–2024). The Chief Secretary reiterated the government’s commitment to refining and improving women’s welfare initiatives.
