Dehradun: Four female students in Uttarakhand have had their MBBS admissions cancelled over alleged fake Freedom Fighter Dependent certificates used to secure seats under the reserved quota. Police have registered FIRs against five people, including the students and a parent.

Inquiry Finds Discrepancies in Certificates

The case surfaced after complaints questioned the validity of certificates submitted during NEET counselling. A district-level inquiry found discrepancies in documents and addresses provided by applicants. Following the investigation, authorities cancelled the disputed certificates and MBBS admissions.
