India-Mongolia Army Exercise ‘Nomadic Elephant-2026’ Concludes in Uttarakhand
Pithoragarh: The 18th edition of the India-Mongolia joint military exercise ‘Nomadic Elephant-2026’ concluded in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, strengthening defence cooperation and operational coordination between the two countries.
Held from September 20 to October 3, the exercise focused on improving interoperability, joint operational capabilities and mutual understanding. Soldiers from both armies participated in combat drills and shared operational experiences and best practices.
The three-phase exercise included training on tactical operations, intelligence and surveillance, drone operations, heliborne missions, firing, casualty evacuation and cyber security. Sports and cultural activities were also organised to promote camaraderie and trust among the troops.
The successful exercise further strengthened India-Mongolia defence ties and demonstrated the growing strategic partnership between the two countries.
