The Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), Dehradun Chapter, organized a conference on "Cyber Crime and Misinformation: Challenges and Solutions." The event aimed to raise awareness about the growing threats of cybercrime and misinformation.

Cyber Crime Station DSP Mr. Ankush Mishra highlighted that citizens can report cybercrimes by calling the toll-free number 1930. He elaborated on various types of cyber fraud, including deep fakes, phishing, and fake QR codes, and shared tips to avoid them.

Chief Guest Dr. Nitin Upadhyay, Joint Director, Information Department, emphasized the importance of "Think Before You Share" and "Think Before You Care" to prevent the spread of false information. He suggested the AAA plan (Awareness, Advocacy, Action) to combat fake news.

Assistant Manager, Corporate Communication at THDC, Mr. Ishan Bhushan, stressed the need for vigilance in the digital age and discussed tools to verify data sources.

PRSI Dehradun Chapter President Ravi Bijaraniya stated that this program is an effort to enhance public awareness, and similar initiatives will be organized in the future.

The event was attended by PRSI Vice President Dr. Amarnath Tripathi, Secretary Anil Sati, Treasurer Suresh Chandra Bhatt, along with other key members and media representatives. The program was conducted by Anil Verma.
