Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has announced stringent measures to prevent the misuse and issuance of fake Ayushman cards in the state. She clarified that Ayushman cards are issued only to beneficiaries holding NFSA or SFSA ration cards registered in the state. Aadhaar is used strictly for KYC purposes during the card creation process, and the state does not store Aadhaar details in its database.

To prevent fraudulent Ayushman cards, the state has implemented strict measures. These include verifying existing cards with the NHA, directing hospitals to check Aadhaar and ration cards during admissions, and reviewing recently issued ration cards, especially single-member ones. Hospitals must be cautious with out-of-state beneficiaries and verify their documents thoroughly. Common Service Centres (CSCs) have been warned against fraudulent activities, with strict actions for violations. The State Health Authority (SHA) will maintain vigilance to detect and prevent fraud.

These measures aim to ensure that the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat scheme reach genuine beneficiaries while safeguarding the system from misuse.
