Rishikesh: From situationships and soulmates to 2 a.m. overthinking, FOMO, social media and AI, Gen Z students put their biggest questions to Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar during the 7th National Induction Programme.

Thousands of first-year students from more than 1,300 higher-education institutions, including IITs, IIMs, NITs and AIIMS, joined the national dialogue. AIIMS Rishikesh was also part of the interaction.

Addressing questions on relationships, Gurudev encouraged students to consider the feelings of others and make thoughtful choices. On loneliness and lack of purpose, he highlighted the importance of the breath and inner balance.

He urged youngsters to build a resilient personality, stay confident despite failures and not let self-doubt define them. He also spoke about declining attention spans, stress and the impact of constant digital stimulation.

Gurudev cautioned students against believing everything they see on social media, especially AI-generated content, and advised them to use humour and mindfulness while dealing with anger and stress.

The interaction highlighted the importance of resilience, discernment, inner peace and meaningful connections for today’s youth.
