Yudh Abhyas 2026: Indian, US Armies Conduct Counterterrorism Drill in Auli

Chamoli: Indian and US Army personnel conducted a joint counterterrorism training exercise during Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2026 in Auli on Thursday, September 17, focusing on building clearance and room intervention in close-quarter combat scenarios.

The drill featured coordinated assault teams supported by drones, robotic dogs, canines and snipers, demonstrating the integration of specialised personnel and advanced technology in counterterrorism operations.

During the exercise, US Army personnel also interacted with troops and examined the equipment used in the training, gaining insights into the operational capabilities and techniques demonstrated by both forces.

The joint exercise aimed to strengthen tactical understanding, enhance interoperability and promote professional exchange between the Indian and US Armies through realistic operational training.
