IIM Kashipur HR Conclave: Skills and Adaptability to Define Jobs in the AI Era
Kashipur: Artificial Intelligence (AI) may not take away jobs but will significantly change the way people work, while human decision-making will remain irreplaceable, experts said at the annual HR conclave ‘Samnvay 2026’ held at IIM Kashipur on Saturday, October 31.
The conclave brought together leading HR professionals and students to discuss the future of employment. During the session *‘Beyond the 9-to-5: What Will Employment Look Like in 2040?’*, experts highlighted the growing role of AI in recruitment and the importance of flexible work cultures and adaptability.
The second session focused on *‘What Will Make a Resume Stand Out in 2040?’*. Experts from Google, Big FM, Mphasis, Axis Max Life and R Systems said companies would increasingly value practical skills, problem-solving abilities, business understanding and teamwork over degrees and certificates.
They also emphasised that resumes would evolve into personal branding documents reflecting candidates’ real-world experience and capabilities. The conclave concluded with an interactive discussion between students and industry experts.
