Uttarakhand has excelled in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) assessment, securing the top position in the country, as revealed by NITI Aayog`s SDG Ranking Index Report.

The state has climbed from fourth place to the top, alongside Kerala, showing significant improvement in nearly every one of the 16 sustainable development goals compared to last year.

According to NITI Aayog`s report, Uttarakhand achieved first place with 79 points across the 16 SDGs, surpassing states such as Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Himachal Pradesh. Kerala has maintained its top ranking through consistent performance.

Among the top five states, Tamil Nadu ranks second with 78 points, Goa and Himachal Pradesh are tied for third with 77 points, Punjab and Sikkim share the fourth position with 76 points, and Karnataka ranks fifth with 75 points.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his happiness over this achievement and congratulated all the people of Uttarakhand. He attributed this success to the blessings and cooperation of the state`s residents.
