Two-Day Tribal Science Festival Begins in Dehradun
Under the leadership of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the two-day Tribal Science Festival organized by the Tribal Research Institute (TRI) commenced today. The event was inaugurated by Dharampur MLA Vinod Chamoli, with enthusiastic participation from over 80 students from 18 tribal schools.
During the festival, students showcased innovative science models and took part in science shows, workshops, and quizzes. Interactive shows like Science of Air, Chemical Mania, and Science is Magic, along with exhibitions on sensors and robotics, were the main attractions. Workshops enabled students to create practical science tools such as telescopes, magic boxes, and LED greeting cards.
Chief Minister`s Additional Secretary S.S. Tolia called the festival a step towards fostering creativity and scientific thinking among tribal students. TRI Coordinator Rajeev Kumar Solanki highlighted the festival as a unique platform for nurturing innovation and scientific aptitude among tribal youth.
The festival will continue tomorrow with more interactive activities and workshops, promoting curiosity, creativity, and innovation among tribal students.
