SCERT Uttarakhand Wins SKOCH Gold Award 2026 for ‘E-Srijan’ Initiative

Dehradun: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Uttarakhand, has won the prestigious SKOCH Gold Award 2026 for its technology-driven teacher training initiative, ‘E-Srijan’.

The award was presented at the 109th SKOCH Summit in New Delhi, where SCERT Director Vandana Garbyal and Coordinator Dr Ramesh Badoni received the honour.

Developed to reach teachers in Uttarakhand’s remote and geographically challenging areas, E-Srijan uses a mobile-friendly, low-cost training model with AI-based engagement and real-time progress monitoring.

The initiative has trained nearly 49,000 teachers, with over 47,000 certified. It recorded a course completion rate of around 95% and school coverage of 97%.

The project cleared multiple evaluation rounds and reached the top three before securing the SKOCH Gold Award.
