CM Inaugurates Farmers’ Fair at Pantnagar

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the 116th All India Farmers Fair and Agro Industry Exhibition at Pantnagar University and virtually inaugurated the Harela Garden. He honored progressive farmers and emphasized the fair’s role in promoting modern agricultural techniques and boosting farmers’ prosperity.

Dhami highlighted state initiatives like interest-free loans, 80% subsidies on agricultural equipment, and projects to enhance organic farming, apple, and kiwi production. He also mentioned the government’s ₹1,000 crore plan to improve rain-fed farming and a ₹200 crore provision for polyhouse construction to increase farmers’ income.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Manmohan Singh Chauhan praised the university’s contribution to agriculture, noting its development of 10 pulse seed varieties and signing of international MoUs to support agricultural advancements.
