Uttarakhand has been awarded for Supply Chain and Logistics Management at an industry summit held in Delhi on Wednesday. Uttarakhand has been awarded for its growing network of supply chain infrastructure and logistics in the country.

During the discussion, at the summit, it was recognised that road transport and infrastructure has made good progress in ongoing the development endeavours of the Uttarakhand state. Likewise, transport facilities have also developed due to growing road network.

The discussions at the summit underlined the fact that there was a continuous improvement in roads and transport facility in the state which has proved to be of immense help in the growth of supply chain management in the state. For this reason, new places and destinations in Uttarakhand cropped up on the industrial map of India.

Uttarakhand also made giant leaps in the logistic management and emerged prominently in the eyes of the industry in the country. The growing network of roads and transport facilities in Uttarakhand is poised to excel in terms of trade, supply chain and logistics.

The award was presented by Union Surface Transport Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari in a program organized at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar International Center in Delhi. The award was received by Shri Ajay Mishra, Resident Commissioner, Uttarakhand in Delhi on behalf of the State.
