Preparations Underway for Nanda Devi Rajjat Yatra 2026

Dehradun: Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan on Thursday reviewed preparations for the Nanda Devi Rajjat Yatra 2026 at the Secretariat. He directed Chamoli District Magistrate to prepare a comprehensive SOP with all departments to ensure smooth conduct while preserving the yatra’s historical and cultural authenticity. A documentary on the pilgrimage will also be prepared.

Officials were asked to inspect and repair routes and stopovers, arrange tents and essential facilities, and prioritize key works. The Health Department will ensure doctors, medicines, oxygen, and medical equipment at all halts. Departments were also tasked with waste, sanitation, and crowd management plans to ensure safety and convenience for devotees.

The meeting was attended by APCCF Shri Kapil Lal, Secretaries Shri Vinod Kumar Suman, Shri Dhiraj Singh Garbyal, Shri C. Ravishankar, Additional Secretary Shri Vineet Kumar, and other senior officials.
