New Delhi: At a national conference held at Bharat Mandapam during the silver jubilee celebrations of ITITI and Doon Sanskriti School, Dehradun, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan honored UCOST Director General Prof. Durgesh Pant for his outstanding contributions to science and technology.

Addressing a technical session, Prof. Pant highlighted that science and technology play a crucial role in improving livelihoods, healthcare, education, and natural resource management in tribal communities. He stressed integrating traditional knowledge with modern technology to achieve sustainable development.

He also pointed out the vast potential in Uttarakhand for water conservation, biodiversity protection, and clean energy, adding that skill development and digital empowerment can make tribal youth self-reliant.

UCOST showcased Uttarakhand’s scientific progress and innovation at the event, including models focused on rural development and ecosystem conservation.
