Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday said the state government is working to establish Uttarakhand as a world-class wedding destination under the "Wed in Uttarakhand" campaign. Addressing the `Grace Hindustan 2.0 Uttarakhand` National Wedding Professionals Conference in Dehradun, he said the initiative will boost tourism, generate employment and strengthen the local economy.

Dhami said destinations including Triyuginarayan, Omkareshwar (Ukhimath), Tehri, Ramnagar and Mussoorie are being developed as world-class wedding venues, while spiritual and wellness tourism is also being promoted.

He added that improved law and order, investor-friendly policies and enhanced Road, Rail and Ropeway (Triple R) connectivity are making Uttarakhand an attractive tourism and investment destination, and invited industry experts to partner in the state`s tourism growth.
