Chardham dashboard to make travel management effective: Raturi



Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that the dashboard will become a medium for effective exchange of information and data sharing among all the departments related to Chardham.

Instructions have been given to all departments to regularly update real time data on the Chardham dashboard being prepared by ITDA.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi directed to deploy one nodal officer in all the departments for updates in the dashboard. The Chief Secretary instructed all the concerned departments that the data updated on the Chardham dashboard should be dynamic and real time. It should be fed regularly. The Chief Secretary has given information about black spots, slipping zones, alternative routes other than the main routes, debris, landslides or landslides on the Yatra route to the Public Works Department in the Chardham dashboard.

Through the dashboard, it will become an effective medium for effective exchange of information and data sharing between all the departments related to Chardham. This will establish effective coordination among the departments and their tendency to work in isolation will end.

Instructions have been given to compulsorily update the data of roads blocked by traffic jams, road accidents and UCADA to compulsorily update information about cancellation of heli service in Dhams due to bad weather or other reasons.

The Chief Secretary also asked the Animal Husbandry Department to regularly update the real-time data of fodder, hot drinking water and availability of veterinarians for mules on the Yatra route in the Chardham dashboard.

This dashboard will initially be used for administrative coordination and work of government departments and will later be opened to the general public. Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi has given instructions to do GIS tagging of the works to be done on the Yatra route in the Chardham dashboard. He has described interlinking of various departments as necessary for performance evolution.

The Chief Secretary has given instructions to add other crowded tourist places like Mussoorie to the Chardham dashboard, so that all the information and real time data can be available to the tourists visiting these places. Along with this, the Chief Secretary has given instructions to strictly follow the rules of mandatory keeping of trash bags (dustbin) in the vehicles of devotees and tourists coming on Chardham Yatra.
