Chairman of the Land Frauds Coordination Committee & Garhwal Commissioner Shri Sunil Kumar instructed officials to effectively deal with cases of land fraud and encroachment on government land in the state.

“Government land freed from encroachment shall be either wire fenced or be covered with boundary walls,” Shri Kumar said in a meeting held in Dehradun.

Mr Kumar directed the officials of the Dehradun Municipal Corporation and Revenue Department that the land disputes under consideration before various courts shall be meticulously followed up and dealt with effectively.

Instructions were also given to register FIRs against the persons accused of selling the land owned by a deceased persons with an intent to commit forgery.

Commissioner Garhwal Mandal also issued instructions to the Deputy District Magistrates to online update Khatauni to prevent instances of land frauds.

Shri Sushil Kumar gave instructions on telephone to dispose of the promises under the PP Act regarding illegal encroachment on the land in village Danda Lakhond.

In the meeting, IG Garhwal K.S. Nagyal, Additional District Magistrate Administration Dehradun Dr. SK Baranwal, Joint Secretary MDDA Raza Abbas, Deputy Collector Sadar Naresh Chandra Durgapal, Deputy District Magistrate Kotdwar Pramod Kumar, Deputy District Magistrate Doiwala Shailendra Negi were also present.
