Gas Insulated Substation To Come Up At Badrinath
Uttarakhand will set up its first Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) in Shri Badrinath Dham to provide 24x7 electricity. Under the Badrinath Master Plan, a 33/11 KV substation, along with HT and LT lines, will be constructed with an approved budget of INR 25.66 crore.
The Expenditure Finance Committee, chaired by Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi, also approved road construction from Bageshwar-Amsarkot to Nadigaon, and a new civic amenity building to support the rising number of pilgrims, with funds sponsored by NHPC. The project is expected to enhance infrastructure in the area for residents and visitors alike.
