Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi has expressed displeasure over the slow pace of loan disbursement by various departments under the approved proposals of NABARD. She directed the departments to accelerate their efforts to achieve the targets. Chairing the meeting of the High-Powered Committee (HPC) on the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) at the Secretariat, she stated that the progress in disbursement is not satisfactory.

The Chief Secretary instructed the departments to simplify and expedite the procedures, complete slow-moving projects promptly, and accelerate the approval process of proposals by NABARD. She also emphasized the importance of regular monitoring and resolving issues quickly to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Key achievements under NABARD include the creation of irrigation facilities on 2.39 lakh hectares of land, the construction of 15,570 km of rural roads, 27,729 meters of bridges, providing drinking water facilities to 23.77 lakh rural population, and the construction of 239 schools and ITIs. The Chief Secretary appreciated these achievements and directed the departments to work swiftly to achieve the remaining targets.
