Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has directed strict compliance with Green Building, Solar Power, and Rainwater Harvesting regulations in all construction projects across the state. She also emphasized the use of Uttarakhand’s local architectural style in the construction of schools, colleges, and other buildings.

In the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) meeting held at the Secretariat, several projects were approved, including the strengthening of the Kaudia-Kimsar Motor Road in Yamkeshwar, Pauri Garhwal (₹1044.94 lakh), a bilkedar pumping drinking water scheme (₹1516.13 lakh), and the construction of a Government Polytechnic building in Salt (₹1617.03 lakh).

Additionally, under the NABARD RIDF scheme, approvals were granted for the construction of Government Polytechnics in Lohaghat and Danya and the widening of the New Cantt Motor Road in Dehradun. Discussions were also held on a ₹3003.05 lakh project for developing a dairy-based economy and cow-based tourism in Bhararisain.

The Chief Secretary stated that these projects will promote environmental conservation while boosting technical education, infrastructure, and local employment opportunities in the state.
