Khatima: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated Uttarakhand’s first “Saathi Kendra” at Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Government Post Graduate College, Khatima. The center has been set up in collaboration with IIT Kanpur.

CM Dhami said that through “Project Saathi,” professors from IITs and IISc are preparing students for competitive exams via online classes. With the launch of this center in Khatima, 80 students will also get offline coaching and mentoring.

So far, more than 1.5 million students across the country and about 29,000 in Uttarakhand have benefitted from the project. Last year, over 500 students from the state cleared various competitive exams with the help of this platform.

The Chief Minister added that Uttarakhand is continuously working to improve education by introducing courses like AI, Machine Learning, and Big Data. Along with new colleges, initiatives like Science City and research promotion schemes are also being implemented to strengthen higher education and research in the state.
