HUDCO Upgrades Eye Care Facilities at Vivekananda Netralaya in Dehradun
Dehradun: Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) has upgraded eye care facilities at Vivekananda Netralaya, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Dehradun, by installing two advanced ophthalmic systems under its CSR initiative.
The Alcon Centurion Vision System with Active Sentry and ZEISS Lumera i Surgical Microscope will enhance the safety, precision and efficiency of cataract and other complex eye surgeries.
The systems were inaugurated in the presence of senior HUDCO officials. Swami Asimatmananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, appreciated HUDCO`s support, while doctors highlighted the benefits of the new equipment.
Vivekananda Netralaya performs nearly 18,000 cataract surgeries and serves over one lakh patients annually. The new systems will further improve access to advanced, affordable and quality eye care across Uttarakhand and the Himalayan region.
