Uttarakhand Signs MoU to Upgrade Healthcare with AI Equipment
Dehradun: Uttarakhand`s healthcare infrastructure is set to receive a major boost as the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and the Uttarakhand Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in New Delhi on Monday.
Under the Prime Minister`s fund, the state will receive 4 MRI machines, 5 Digital Mammography (DBT) machines, and 75 AI-powered portable handheld X-ray machines. The MoU was signed in the presence of Uttarakhand Health Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey and Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Aradhana Patnaik.
The advanced medical equipment will strengthen diagnostic facilities in government hospitals, enabling faster and better-quality diagnosis. The AI-enabled handheld X-ray machines will be particularly beneficial in providing healthcare services to patients in remote and hilly areas.
