A meeting of observers for the 2024-25 local body elections was held on Monday at the State Election Commissioner’s office. State Election Commissioner Mr. Sushil Kumar briefed the observers on the Model Code of Conduct, expenditure limits for candidates, and the voting and counting process, emphasizing their crucial role in the election process.

Secretary Mr. Rahul Kumar Goyal shared details about political parties, their election symbols, and voter statistics. Joint Secretary Mr. Kamlesh Mehta provided insights into the Model Code of Conduct, while Finance Controller Mr. Virendra Rawat discussed expenditure limits and monitoring procedures.

Deputy Commissioner Mr. Prabhat Kumar Singh elaborated on the voting and counting process. The training aimed to prepare observers to ensure free, fair, and effective election management.
