In Ratanpur-Sukhro, a domestic dispute took a tragic turn when Manoj Rawat (40) strangled his wife Shashi Devi (32) to death. After the incident, he attempted suicide but survived.

Around 8 AM, Manoj called his manager Aman Kumar and asked him to come home. When Aman arrived, he found Manoj lying in a pool of blood, while Shashi was dead. Their young children stood nearby, crying. Police and emergency services were immediately informed.

Police rushed Manoj to the hospital, where his condition is now stable. Based on a complaint filed by Shashi’s father, Satpal Singh, a case of murder has been registered against Manoj.

Manoj had returned from Germany three years ago, but the lack of a stable job had left him under mental stress. Due to financial difficulties, he often pressured Shashi for money and physically abused her. Recently, he had also quit his job at a local factory, worsening the situation.

Both children were present at the time of the incident. Authorities have now informed Shashi’s family, who will take care of them.
