A crucial Uttarakhand Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, is scheduled for today. Several important decisions are expected, including a major resolution regarding the recruitment of 2,347 Group D employees in government schools across the state.

Earlier, the government planned to fill these positions through the Prayag Portal, but due to technical difficulties, the recruitment process is now proposed to be conducted via the GeM Portal. This proposal will be presented in the Cabinet meeting for final approval.

With a significant shortage of Group D employees in state schools, the government has been making efforts to address the issue. This new process is expected to expedite the recruitment. The meeting is also likely to discuss other key matters related to various departments.
