New Delhi: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday and requested approval for proposals worth ₹4,915 crore for various development projects in the state.

During the meeting, CM Dhami sought ₹3,500 crore in financial assistance for the grand Haridwar Ardhkumbh Mela scheduled for 2027 and ₹400 crore for infrastructure development for the 2026 Nanda Devi Rajjat Yatra. He also extended a formal invitation to the Prime Minister to attend the sacred Rajjat pilgrimage.

The Chief Minister urged for CSR-based funding for the development of Haridwar and Rishikesh Ganga corridors and the Sharda corridor in Champawat. He also requested the inclusion of a ₹1,015 crore DPR submitted by the state for undergrounding HT and LT power lines and automating the power supply under the RDSS scheme.

Dhami further proposed establishing a semiconductor hub at the NEPA Farm in Udham Singh Nagar, extending the Delhi-Meerut RRTS to Haridwar, and including route construction in the Tanakpur-Bageshwar and Rishikesh-Uttarkashi rail projects.

He also requested approval from the National Board for Wildlife to restore the historic Chaurasi Kuti in Rishikesh to its original form, inclusion of the Pindar-Kosi link project under special schemes, and permission to proceed with five hydropower projects with a combined capacity of 596 MW, as recommended by a central committee chaired by the Cabinet Secretary.
