The Doon School Wins 10th SelaQui All India Inter-School Football Tournament
Dehradun: The 10th SelaQui All India Inter-School Invitational Football Tournament for Under-19 boys concluded on Monday with an electrifying final match. In the title clash held at the SelaQui International School grounds, The Doon School, Dehradun defeated Mayo College, Ajmer 3-2 to lift the championship trophy.
The final lived up to expectations with high-paced, skillful play that kept the spectators hooked till the last whistle. For The Doon School, Shaurya Jeet scored twice while Luksh Shah netted once. Zorawar scored both goals for Mayo College.
The winning team received the trophy from Chief Guest Mr. Yashwant Singh Rawat, Regional Manager, SIIDCUL, and Dr. Dilip Kumar Panda, Headmaster, SelaQui International School. Mr. Rawat praised the sportsmanship and resilience of the players, stating, "Sports have the power to build character, discipline, and prepare future leaders."
The week-long tournament saw participation from eight prestigious schools across the country. Beyond the fierce competition, the event turned into a celebration of teamwork, endurance, and mutual respect among young athletes.
