Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, on Monday approved eight significant proposals focused on welfare, administration, and development.

Under the new decisions, Mini Anganwadi Centres will be upgraded to full-fledged Anganwadi Centres, and 50% of supervisor posts will be filled through direct promotion from among Anganwadi workers.

The Cabinet also provided relief to residents and shop owners in Dehradun’s freeze zone, allowing small constructions in the Raipur area. Additionally, all state public sector undertakings will now be required to contribute 15% of their net profit to the government.

Health workers with five years of service will be eligible for a one-time inter-district transfer and promotion stabilization. The Cabinet also approved ending the Monsoon Assembly Session and authorized a two-day special session to mark Uttarakhand’s 25th anniversary.
