SelaQui International School, Dehradun,
inaugurated the 5-day All India IPSC Girls U-17 Football Tournament Subroto Cup
Qualifying Tournament on 2nd August 2023. The tournament, hosted by SelaQui International School, promises to celebrate talent, sportsmanship and competitive spirit.

In the gripping opening match, The Emerald Heights International School, Indore, and Daly College, Indore, clashed, with both teams scoring one goal each. Both teams displayed commendable performance on the field.

In the second match, the host school team faced a tough challenge against Birla
Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani, ultimately losing 4-0.

The tournament features participation from 11 esteemed schools, including the host school. These young players from across the country will compete for the opportunity to represent their schools in the prestigious Subroto Cup National Tournament in New Delhi.

The participating teams include Vidya Devi Jindal School (Hisar), Modern School
(Barakhamba Road, New Delhi), Daly College (Indore), Motilal Nehru School of
Sports Rai, Birla Balika Vidyalaya (Pilani), The Lawrence School (Sanawar,
Himachal Pradesh), Pinegrove School (Dharampur, Himachal Pradesh), Mayo College Girls` School (Ajmer), Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls` Public School (Jodhpur) and The Emerald Heights International School (Indore).

The tournament will witness intense matches played on a league cum knockout basis, ensuring a thrilling experience for players and spectators alike. The first three days will see seven matches, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals. The winner of the semi-finals will fight for the title in the grand finale on 6th August 2023.

The All India IPSC Girls U-17 Football Tournament Subroto Cup Qualifying Tournament is an excellent platform for these talented young footballers to showcase their skills and passion for the game. It promotes sports and encourages camaraderie and mutual respect among participants.
