Rescue teams recovered four more bodies from the debris of a landslide in Sonprayag on Tuesday, bringing the death toll to five. The landslide, which occurred late Monday evening, trapped eight passengers returning from Kedarnath in the debris near the power house of the Energy Corporation in Sonprayag.

Among the survivors, three individuals are currently being treated for injuries at a nearby hospital. Rescue operations are being led by teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), under the supervision of Sub-Inspector Ashish Dimri.

The first body recovered was identified as Gopal (50), a resident of Madhya Pradesh. The rescue efforts are ongoing as authorities continue to assess the situation.
