PM Modi Inaugurates 38th National Games in Uttarakhand. During the Inauguration of National Games on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi applauded Uttarakhand’s efforts under Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, highlighting the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), promotion of Winter Tourism, and the Plastic-Free Campaign.

PM Modi praised the UCC as a progressive step toward inclusivity and commended the state’s Winter Tourism Yatra, expressing his desire to personally participate. The initiative, aimed at boosting the local economy, gained national recognition with the Prime Minister’s endorsement.

The Green Games theme, featuring medals made from e-waste and tree plantations by athletes, also impressed the Prime Minister. He linked it to Uttarakhand’s Plastic-Free Campaign and lauded the Dhami government’s commitment to sustainability and development.

These initiatives have propelled Uttarakhand into the national spotlight, earning praise for its progressive policies and environmental focus.
