Uttarakhand Launches Saarthi Scheme to Boost Women Employment

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has introduced the Mukhyamantri Mahila Saarthi Yojana, offering 30% horizontal reservation in government jobs and interest-free loans of up to ₹5 lakh for self-employment.

On International Women’s Day, the Chief Minister flagged off Mahila Saarthi vehicles in Dehradun and honored women excelling in various fields.

Uttarakhand`s Saarthi Scheme offers 30% reservation in government jobs and interest-free loans of up to ₹5 lakh for self-help groups, along with initiatives like the Lakhpati Didi Yojana and Sashakt Bahna Utsav Yojana, aiming to enhance financial independence and create new opportunities for women.

CM Dhami emphasized that these schemes will enhance women`s financial independence and create new job opportunities. The pilot project has been launched in Dehradun, with plans for expansion across other cities soon.
