Dehradun: The 8th All India P.C. Batta Memorial Cricket Tournament, held in memory of Late P.C. Batta, concluded on a grand note at Kasiga School. With participation from several prestigious schools across the country, the tournament witnessed high-energy matches, culminating in an exciting final between Kasiga School and The Scindia School, Gwalior.

In the final match, The Scindia School won the toss and opted to bat first, posting 94/9 in 20 overs. In response, Kasiga School (A Team) delivered an impressive performance, chasing down the target in just 15.4 overs with a score of 95/3, securing a convincing 7-wicket victory to lift the trophy. Kasiga’s disciplined bowling and composed batting proved decisive, while The Scindia School finished as runners-up.

The closing ceremony was graced by the former DGP of Uttarakhand, Anil Raturi, as the Chief Guest. Addressing the students, he emphasized the importance of sports in character building, highlighting how games foster discipline, teamwork, and leadership qualities.

Individual performances were also recognized during the ceremony. Ayanveer Bhatia of Kasiga School was named Best Batsman and Player of the Tournament, while Meet Digama received the Player of the Match award. Arjun Kothari of The Scindia School was awarded Best Bowler, and Devansh Arya of Kasiga School was named Best Wicketkeeper.

The tournament, which spanned nearly 10 days, saw participation from many reputed schools, showcasing Kasiga School’s commitment to sporting excellence and holistic development. The event concluded with the trophy distribution, vote of thanks, and the national anthem.
